Pneuma 02:05, 2005

It will be sweet to get silent

After Corps 00:00, Fractie and Balk 00:49, where the exploration was situated around and inside one body, the urge emerged to confront other people with the work. Pneuma 02:05 necessitates the elaboration of relations between different bodies and thereby reveals the way to a vast laboratory. Structured by the foundations of the soli named before, Pneuma 02 :05 proposes the development of new shapes by juxtaposition of the bodies and introduces the creation of perspective in the theatrical image. This piece projects depth in the conditional, in the bodywork, in the human links and hence in the choreography.

We are looking for a treatment without theatrical character, without story or words, without illustration or description, but with the flesh and bones of eight dancers.

We search for the objective aspect of the body and the emotional decomposition; not for the denial of the personality, but for the transcendence of it and with the intention of constructing a new emotion, a new 'organicity'.

Despite the recognition of the human shapes, we work the body as a living material to attend to a confluence of the movement, the form, the expression and the state. These are the principal elements that, as a result of some years of lonely research, can now be confronted with others.
