Between 2008 and 2009, Cindy Van Acker created six pieces for six performers: Obvie (Tamara Bacci), Lanx (Cindy Van Acker), Antre (Rudi van der Merwe), Nodal (Luca Nava), Nixe (Perrine Valli), and Obtus (Marthe Krummenacher).
Orsola Valenti has revisited and interpreted each piece, penetrating to the heart of each one to extract its essence in a form transformed by the cinematographic approach. Beyond any semiological demonstration of the relationship between dance and film, the challenge of bringing the two artistic expressions together around these solos – which are specifically open and polyphonic by nature – is to generate as many sensory and intellectual experiences as the pieces themselves carry evocative power. It is a semiological adventure through the articulation of reality and fiction, but also a sensory and captivating journey into another space-time dimension.
