Following her solo choreographic explorations of the works of L\u00e9on Spilliaert at Fondation L\u2019Hermitage (Lausanne)<\/a> in 2023, Van Acker presented visitors with a series of made-to-measure performances. Made in the moment, built on a shared experience of close proximity, these performances gave rise to high-quality exchanges with audiences who encountered the choreographer\u2019s dance by chance, some of them for the first time.<\/p>

This experience gave rise to Les<\/i> I<\/i>mpromptus<\/i> project. For the following years, Van Acker will aim to develop this new form more widely. The opportunity to experiment freely and meet other audiences, in places not dedicated to dance, is particularly appealing. She also sees a strong potential for transmission in the development of this new spontaneous practice, since it takes us back to certain fundamentals of her language, without them being trapped in a pre-defined framework.<\/p>

With Les I<\/i>mpromptus<\/em>, Van Acker ventures in new territories. She experiments with a new relationship to creation, in a simplified approach to space and audience. Taking a step back, holding space for composition and play in the here and now, to create a small piece with the utmost care and lightness.<\/p>

In 2025-2027, Fondation L\u2019Hermitage<\/a> will be the privileged playground for this choreographic experiment. Other venues will also welcome Les I<\/i>mpromptus<\/i> performances, depending on what encounters, desires, and possibilities arise.<\/p>","protected":false,"raw":"

La possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter librement et de rencontrer d\u2019autres publics, dans des espaces non d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 la danse, r\u00e9sonne particuli\u00e8rement. Elle voit aussi un fort potentiel de transmission dans le d\u00e9veloppement de cette nouvelle pratique spontan\u00e9e, puisqu\u2019elle ram\u00e8ne \u00e0 certains fondamentaux de son langage, sans qu\u2019ils soient enferm\u00e9s dans un canevas pr\u00e9d\u00e9fini.<\/p>
